Thanks to Taylor Pope for creating our website
The Kincardine Charity Bridge Club is a friendly volunteer-run ACBL sanctioned bridge club. We play at the Davidson Centre - 601 Durham Street in Kincardine. We run three weekly bridge events - the cost of each of these events is $5 per person. Registration in advance is required for each of these bridge events. Contact Tom tom.rajnovich@gmail.com or 226-396-6008 ASAP if you wish to attend the lessons or the games, or if you have any questions about our club. All of our profit is donated to two local charities – the Grey-Bruce Women’s Shelter www.thewomenscentre.org and the Huron Shores Hospice www.huronshoreshospice.ca Kincardine Charity BC events are scent free – please do not wear perfume, after-shave, etc.
Lessons
There is a bridge lesson every Monday morning at 9:30 am to 11:30 am in the Davidson Centre in Kincardine (statutory holidays excepted). No partner is needed for these lessons. The topic for this spring and summer is Bidding - one-level opening bids, forcing bids, preempts, strong opening bids overcalls, and slam-seeking bids will all be covered. A few conventions will be discussed, but the emphasis is on hand evaluation and common sense. Contact Tom if you wish to attend these lessons.
Beginner lessons may be offered if there is enough demand. Contact Tom if you are interested in learning to play bridge. The first 10-week course costs $50 and includes two reference books.
Games
There is an ACBL sanctioned game at the Davidson Centre at 12:45 pm every Monday and Friday (statutory holidays excepted). We play about 27 boards each game – STaCs and other special ACBL games are normally run, but are not guaranteed.
There is no extra charge for special games.
We will supply a partner if you do not need one. Contact Tom and register in advance to be guaranteed a partner.
Thanks
Thanks to Sheila Murray, Guy Murray, Jane Guest, Bev Harris and other volunteers for their many contributions to the operation of the Kincardine Charity Bridge Club. There would be no bridge club without their assistance, patience, effort, advice, and moral support.
